The controversy around the Time cover and the cover story on breastfeeding abounds. LFG’s mom breastfed her and my child has had maybe two earaches and two bouts of strep in her eleven years. Thebenefits of breastfeeding are irrefutable. But how long should one breastfeed a child? I don’t know and because I don’t currently have a dog in this fight—I’m not gonna do the research. I’d rather spend the time getting schooled up on the Cleverley Washington visit that begins tomorrow.
But this I DO know…After the nutritional benefits of breastfeeding are nil, I do believe that as adults, we should be allowed to “go back and visit the old home place” as often as we want. I don’t know about you but I ALWAYS love going back. Maybe its because my mama never breastfed me.
